An important West coast ship point and gateway to Asia, Southern CA ports drive business in the sunshine state; the 8th largest economy in the world. Regal’s Distribution Center in Los Angeles is centrally located close to the nation’s leading container ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach with excellent access to I-5, 405 and 605 and CA SR 22 and 55, and Los Angeles, Orange County, Ontario and Long Beach airports. If combined, the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles would be the world's eighth-busiest port complex by container volume.

The Port of Charleston has the deepest water in the Southeast, industry-leading productive operations, room to grow and a client-focused approach that enables Regal Logistics to serve its customers better.

Charleston Harbor regularly handles 8,400-TEU vessels drafting up to 48 feet. Short transit times to Charleston’s five marine terminals, each within two hours sailing time from the open ocean, help keep vessel schedule integrity intact and minimize the risk of canal penalties or missed berthing windows at other ports.

The widening of the Panama Canal will amplify these advantages for shippers serious about saving money and time. Logistics analysts agree, as much as 40% of U.S. imports from Asia will pass through the new Panama Canal beginning in 2014. Much of that will head east, when it’s the most direct route considering volume, time, cost and ultimate destination.

A major gateway to Asia and Alaska, the Port of Tacoma is a leading North American seaport handling nearly $28 billion in trade and 1.5 million TEUs (20-foot equivalent units) in 2010. Regal Logistics is less than six miles from major terminals. Located on Commencement Bay – a natural, deep-water harbor in Southern Puget Sound – the Port of Tacoma has 2,400 acres (972 hectares) that are used for shipping terminal activity and warehouse, distributing, and manufacturing. Outstanding intermodal operations, connections to two transcontinental railroads and easy access to Interstate 5, Interstate 90, SR 509 and SR 167 make the Port an ideal location for warehouse and distribution activities.

State-of-the-art cargo handling facilities helped rank the Port of Seattle the nation’s 6th busiest U.S. seaport in 2010, serving 22 international steamship lines moving more than 2.1 million TEUs (20-foot equivalent unit containers). Regal Logistics is located 26 miles south of the Seattle terminals. The Seaport is made up of 1,543 acres of waterfront land and nearby properties including container terminals, general purpose/cargo terminals, foreign trade zone, break-bulk cargo and refrigerated cargo and storage.

The fundamental advantage of Pacific Northwest ports is their proximity to Asia. Regal Logistics’ strategic location between the Ports of Tacoma and Seattle ensures time-efficient moves and more trips per day. Better access to important Asian markets is a great advantage for customers importing from the Far East. Product is turned around in 24 hours or less. Freight rates are cut in half and transit time accelerates a whole week.
